One Big Happy Family by Susan Mallery

The cover pulled me into this one. Unfortunately the cover was the best thing about the book. The writing wasn’t well edited, especially at the beginning when they had characters saying out loud what should’ve been in there head. (Obviously trying to give the reader background information that the other character would’ve already known/experienced.) The worst I think was how the 2 characters - Gwen and Axil - had such drastic character arches. It was totally unbelievable. It just felt like the author wanted to hurry and have everyone have happy endings. I felt so frustrated about that. I think maybe there were just too many characters and too many storylines. I did like Julie and that she was a strong older protagonist. However, she was also too controlling and didn’t have a good arch either.
