Not gonna lie...I wasn’t sure I was gonna like this when I started reading it. Not because it didn’t interest me, thats why I bought the book to begin with. The writing style was a bit weird and it left me confused a lot in the first fifty or so pages. But I ended up liking it a lot. Again I love retellings, so this was right up my alley. My favorite thing to do while reading this was looking up all of the character names and finding out that 99% of them were actually related to people in King Henry VIII life. I don’t know I found it really cool. And I really learned to love Cleves’ voice throughout the book too. It was really fun to read, and even though I knew the general story of Henry before reading it I still found myself on the edge of my seat and second guessing everything. I ended up loving it!
