Discussions about protests in america and Iran mixed with personal history and classic novels written as a series of letters to her late father.

Found parts wordy and repetitive. Others insightful, although I disagree with many points. Not necessary to read the books, as she quotes directly from them, but I got much more out of the chapters when I was familiar with the texts
