Red Rising by Pierce Brown
5.0
2nd time:
I listened to this through Audible and have to say the story came to life!
I originally gave this 4 stars but I am upping it to 5 after the audiobook.
1st Read:
Well here I am again jumping on the bandwagon late.
My friend Sandra recommended this book to me.
I seem to be reading a few Sci-Fi books recently and I usually steer clear from them as I'm not great with space-lingo but this was totally different to what I thought it would be.
Its no secret this book has been around for a few years now so writing an in-depth review about plots & story line is no use. Everybody in the world knows about this series!
I loved:
Sevro. Like honestly I totally get the hype regarding him, even if its only been one book. Scenes with him in were the reason I kept turning those pages.
The use of Colours to categorize people - so simple yet so smart, pretty easy to remember what Colour does what.
The ending. Cliffhanger.com
I didn't like:
It pretty much was The Hunger Games but on Mars, the last half of the book dragged a little but that being said it was really well written.
Darrow - I just felt he was a bit gloomy.
I'm excited to carry on with this series and can tell without reading the next books reviews, that this is gonna be one huuuuuuuge twisted, complicated and probably heartbreaking story... and I am going to relish every second of it.
