The Wind Weaver by Julie Johnson

4.0

This book, despite it being 544 pgs long, was such a quick read! When I actually picked it up, I was flying through it (I am in a big slump so I wasn’t really picking up anything, hence the huge gap between start and finish of this book)!

🔥Elemental magic
💨Ancient prophecy
💧Enemies to lovers
🔥Slow burn
💨Touch her and die
💧Found family
🔥Potential love triangle
💨Banter

Great world building with very little info dumping, amazing side characters (that I might have liked more than some of the main characters 👀), and a really good slow burn romance. The banter between Rhya and Scythe, as well as with the side characters, was top tier!

Really good action scenes dispersed throughout. A good chunk of the beginning is traveling though, so if that isn’t your thing I might steer clear of this book.

This was a 4 instead of a 5 because I was not really invested in the romance. I can see potential with the current relationship, but I liked the other part of the triangle more (💧). I cannot wait to see more of him in book two, and how the three of them will work together to try and fulfill this prophecy.

So many questions left unanswered at the end of this which has me excited for book two!
