I keep trying these Disney aus because I am so curious and Kiss The Girl had some great commentary on The Little Mermaid while still existing on its own.
This had really boring interpretations of the characters, filled with clichés. I am so over the naieve girl and experienced guy trope. And the kidnapping was the part I was most interested in and ultimately it was incredibly unsatisfying. I didn’t like the beginning and skimmed through until the end. Disappointing
