I listened to this one as an audiobook.
This was fantastic!
There's some really excellent lines in this one. Incredible witticisms. Exactly what I expect from Pratchett.
"The reason that clichés become clichés is that they are hammers and screwdrivers in the toolbox of communication."
"He wouldn't have know what to do either, but he's got a much better vocabulary to be baffled in."
A simply perfect introduction to the Night Watch of Ankh-Morpork.
Nigel Planer did a pretty good job as narrator. Voices were relatively consistent. Most are just a kind of muffled, nasal English.
At times this felt like an episode of Blackadder, where all the characters are Baldrick. Such a great time, uproariously funny.
5 out of 5 stars 🤩
