I just finished this book, and I'm happy.
The Dragon King Series has won a spot on my Comfort Re-Reads shelf. This is the kind of story you read when you're looking for something enjoyable, well-written, and heartwarming. It's like a cup of hot chocolate.
Egan and Raiden's relationship continues to develop and deepen, and the changes this new book brings to their lives are quite shocking. It was a twist I was expecting, but it was incredibly exciting to read. I'm not ashamed to admit I squealed a little.
I'll just say I'm glad the last book is already published, because... that ending. OMG.
