I never want to read a book where a woman is so hopelessly devoted to her man that she refuses to see what's in front of her again.  Your world needs to be bigger than that.

Only children believe everything they are told.

The main character is just so desperate that she changes her mind to support her delusion on a whim.

She was so annoying I was not surprised she had only one friend.

The ghosts were unnecessary. The Willa subplot was also unnecessary. Neither of these things added to the story in a meaningful way.
