I found this book randomly in the library and thought it sounded interesting so I took it home and I am so glad that I did. The premise was great and I was hooked from the very first chapter. After I started reading, I saw the comparisons to Game of Thrones and while I do not think this book is as complex as Game of Thrones, I still enjoyed the world this story is set in very much. The narrator was downright oblivious at times, but for me, it didn't distract from the story. The ending of the book closed the book in a really great way but still made me immediately pick up the second one.
