Right up my alley. Love the sisterhood, a bit of spiritual magic, casual inclusivity of different body types, sexual orientations, and races, good therapy for both leads, strong women setting boundaries and growing, definitely feminist, and super romantic with a patient man who listens, plays music in a non-cringy way, and is emotionally available and expressive. The writing itself isn’t particularly stylish or challenging (didn’t expand my vocabulary) but it’s good enough to tell the story effectively. The right balance of emotional moments to be invested but not a wreck. Intimate moments are passionate without being graphic. Sweet and easy modern read with charming and grounded characters.
Graphic: Bullying, Emotional abuse, Toxic relationship, Vomit, Stalking, Gaslighting, Abandonment
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship, Alcohol
Minor: Drug use, Sexism, Blood
