Female characters feel underdeveloped. The atmosphere and creepiness is bloody fantastic (made all the better by Eccleston's narration). Now come the spoilers:
The book, like most crime thrillers, demonizes survivors of abuse and the mentally ill. However, it is maybe done in a way that shows the various paths taken by such people. I'm still figuring out if it is done in a *good* way though.
