Phantom of the Idol, Volume 1 by Hijiki Isoflavone
3.0
[3.5] The concept of a lazy idol and a dead idol enthusiastic to perform in stage was very interesting. Yu-kun is... Relatable. I would too love to become a sloth but not to the extent wherein I get paid for nothing (even though that's the dream... I would get bored of just sleeping around lol.) Asahi-chan's enthusiasm to perform is very refreshing, and I absolutely love her commitment to her work + fan service. The artwork was oh so pretty, and i especially loved Yoshino-kun's character design!
It's definitely a good one time read, which is well-paced and the art is a treat to the eyes. The only drawback is even though it was the first volume, I'm not very well aware of yu-kun and Asahi-chan's approach to life apart from their professional outlook. I'd like to read further volumes to understand this dynamic!
I was given a review copy of this manga in exchange for an honest review
