The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

4.0

Very much enjoyed it. General thoughts with some minor spoilers:

1. Should come with a trigger warning about suicide
2. Shares a beautiful message of self-love
3. Is occasionally a bit dry
4. It’s a frame narrative, which means it’s often predictable - though that isn’t always felt as a negative
5. The piece of this novel that felt most like art was the very ending: 4 blank sheets of paper that feel placed there so the reader can write their own ending to the story of stories. The author never says that’s what they’re for…but that’s what they’re for.
