‘Jurassic Park’ the perfect summer read and a staple of science fiction. Michael Crichton does a fantastic job at flexing his knowledge of dinosaurs and their close relatives. Since the film adaptation is such a spectacle, this kind of fell flat for me. The use of science terminology bogs down on the action and adventure that the characters go through during the novel. I do find the exploration of the ideas that maybe we shouldn’t play God very interesting and relevant to themes that we see occur today.
