How long will you like me? Till I have my first wrinkle, I suppose. I know, now, that when one loses one’s good looks, whatever they may be, one loses everything... Youth is the only thing worth having. When I find that I am growing old I shall kill myself.

Lord Henry Wotton is a messed up guy... (harry?? henry?? why is he called two different names)

lord henry's brain is an interesting space because he Knows he wants to manipulate Dorian and he's doing it on purpose but he makes it look so effortless ... it's so charming that it makes me think about my own philosophies and beliefs

my main complaint is the lack of showing and too much telling... i feel like i am being told over and over about how Dorian's soul is corrupt and evil but we never actually see him do any of those evil things (except for 1. what happened with his wife, 2. what he did to basil)

nearing the end of the novel was kind of boring, especially when Dorian kept going on and on for whole pages of text about the novel he was reading and obsessed about. although it lends us an explanation into his mind and thinking, Wilde didn't need to include all those descriptions of famous immoral beings and such. the end made up for it though and this is definitely one of my favorite novels now.
