Deception So Deadly by Clara Kensie

4.0

Once I started Deception So Deadly, I found that I couldn't stop! It is so good. It's about a normal girl named Tessa who is on the run with her not-so-normal family.

They all have powers, psionic ones to be precise:
Her father, Andy, is a remote viewer, and has a "mobile eye" and can see anyone wherever they go, as long as he has touched them.
Her mother, Wendy, is psychokinetic (can move objects with her mind, etc).
Her sister, Jillian, is also psychokinetic.
Her brother, Logan, is psychokinetic AND hypercognitive (can learn anything super quickly).
But Tessa? She's... normal. Neutral. Which wouldn't normally be a problem, but when you're on the run from a killer who is obsessed with your family... it'd be nice to have powers, you know?

But everything changes when Tessa meets Tristan- the first boy that she has ever had feelings for, the first boy that she's ever even wanted to let in (even though she can't).

This is a fast-paced, exciting read. The plot twist towards the end was SO CRAZY and I loved it so much!! Tessa was so relatable, and I agreed with her decisions most of the time which is a plus. Tristan was swoon-worthy for sure. 😍
The writing is simple and light, and just my style. I feel like it'd be the perfect book to take and read on the beach (which is high praise coming from me, because beach reads are absolute GOALS).

I am SO excited for the sequel!
