Urgh this is so hard to rate!
Is Benedict an asshole who is super aggressive and gets his happy ending without groveling nearly enough? YES. Is this a Cinderella story with heaps of secrets, angst, and pining? Also YES. Am I 100% trash for the Brigertons? GOD YES.
If I take into account the laughter and actual tears this book pulled out of me, my rating is high. If I factor in the number of times I wanted to throat punch Benedict? It's muuuuch lower. But the book is compulsively readable, I gobbled it up in a half a day, and I can't wait for the next volume.
We'll call it 3.5 stars (still less rage educing than The Duke and I)
