This is a great sequel to the first Taken to Voraxia book. I was hesitant to read it because of some of its themes. But Kiki the main character is a black woman and it deals with sexual assault and the anger, repercussions of that really well and sensitively I felt. Kinen is such an interesting male character with how well he understood and learned from her human reservations. I also like that we're continuing to learn about the planets in the Voraxia System, their varying cultures as well as how this particular tribe treats and reveres women.
Moderate: Sexual assault, Sexual violence, and Murder
the main character Kiki has experienced Sexual Assault and it is discussed and she remembers it. and she eventually kills the person who assaulted her in combat.
