I am a fan of Maguire's work so it pains me to say this, but this one was a bit much. I know that his writing can be considered quite "rich", if you will, but this one was just wordy and confusing at times. I liked the story, but it felt like I could see the story through all of the words...if that makes sense. I would have also really loved a more fulfilling ending. Just like with "out of oz", the ending left me wanting, and not in a good way. I always ask myself "Are you glad you read it" and with this book I'm just glad I got through it.
