A corker of a book from one of my favourite contemporary fantasy  authors!

Gaiman’s imagination is limitless; his characters nuanced; his stories epic! Reading his tales always leaves me on a high in the best possible way! I had watched the movie with Clare Danes and Michelle Pfeiffer and liked it, but the book is just better and richer - juicier in so many ways 😃

Tristran Thorn’s journey to find a fallen Star through the land of Faerie is magical and practical and fantastical. A fairytale grounded in reality - a Gaiman specialty! Recognisable human emotions presented with novel perspectives, expressed in a unique writing style,  make for an absorbingly immersive reading experience.

One of my favourite quotes,
Looking out over the world from above, he could never remember feeling so alive as he did at that moment. There was a skyness to the sky and a nowness to the world that he had never seen or felt of realised before.

I wish Wall and Faerie were real and deep within I know they are! Enough said ❤️ Highly recommended for fans of fantasy fiction and for all readers who revel in wild imaginings! Something you’ll enjoy sinking your teeth into!
