I really enjoyed this book. It made me reflect on all the ancestors before me and their individual life challenges they overcame. The book covers heavy topics that connect to issues of racial injustice still continued today. Each generation is quick though so I think it may fault at pushing certain stereotypes. Overall it was a great read and made me think of the love we have for our family.
