I don’t even know if it was good anymore. I mean it. I just know I screamed, blacked out and astral projected from sheer emotional whiplash at the end.
Also… (don't read this before reading book one. DON'T.)
This book absolutely had that Fourth Wing energy, and I ate it up like a starving rider in battle school. Exemple:
I think this book was better than book one. The stakes felt higher, the writing had more emotional bite, and the plot was great. But it was also harder to get through for me personally… and I figured out why: I simply hate the MMC.
