It’s a great start to a good, reliable romantasy. Kind of like if TOG & ACOTAR had a slightly darker baby. This book on its own isn’t doing anything new for me. But it was fun and I will definitely continue.
I did have some qualms with our FMC. Things got a tad repetitive towards the end of the book and some of the “deep” moments felt forced.
I love the drama, I love where the story seems to be going.
YES IF: you like a morally grey FMC, enemies to lovers, secrets secrets secrets
NO IF: you’re wanting something brand new or never been done out of a story.
