Another library find for me! I was absolutely enamoured by the description of this book, and from my most recent library visit, this is the book I was most excited for.
I am very regretful for even picking it up. It was not an awful book, I found the descriptions of grief very raw, very heartbreaking and found myself emotional reading them. I did not, however, like any of the characters, nor did I like the writing style of this book.
I found the writing style in particular very difficult to read, very jumpy and it felt like a lot was missing. I also did not like how all the dialogue was written in italics, it kept giving me headaches; though I suppose that is a very personal experience. I also did not really enjoy the ending, although it makes sense that the main character ended the book with what she started with - running away from her problems.
