The Reunion by Kiersten Modglin
2.0

this book felt like a YA romance or a *super* cozy mystery. At first, the beginning seemed to be a slow burn. Slowly building up to the main event. But then the entire book turned out to be a slow burn. Modglin is known for crazy endings so I kept on pushing through.
85% of the story ended up being about high school drama and Cait Du Bois not being able to make up her mind about whether she wanted to be with Grant or Sam. The other 15% was the mystery about who truly killed Jamie, and Cait trying to figure out who the stranger is that’s been harassing and threatening her in the days leading up to the reunion.

As an avid mystery and thriller reader, this book did not meet my expectations, which Modglin had set very high with The Arrangement. The Reunion just fell flat for me, sadly.

Thank you to Netgalley for this audiobook.
