Baiting the Maid of Honor by Tessa Bailey

3.0

3.5 stars.

I picked this up because I missed Tessa Bailey's heroes. Specifically, their way with words. All I can say is, I definitely got what I was looking for with Reed!

Reed was interesting. Due to his past, he was fairly unemotional. That's what made the sparks fly so well when he spied the people-pleasing and pleasant Julie. I loved the chemistry between these two. Watching them struggle with their attraction to one another while they were seemingly opposites was a lot of fun. If Reed hadn't taken so long to figure out how to come out of this shell, I probably would've liked this story more. As it is, though, I found this very quick, steamy, and enjoyable. I recommend this to contemporary romance fans looking for some steam, and a touch of angst.
