Review: This is the second book in the Knockemout series. It focuses on two characters we've met in the prior book (Nash and Lina). There's a healthy helping of known and loved characters (Knox, Naomi, Way, Liza J, Stef, Sloane, Lucian, etc) as well.
I didn't fall in love with this one nearly as much as I did with the first book. I didn't love the infatuation/control nature of the relationship, especially in the beginning. I felt like the first book had a lot of heartwarming pieces. This one had some as well, just less so. That can be chalked up to the two main characters and the nature of their flaws, I think.
The crime aspect of it was really good and a solid furthering of the story from the previous book. There was a good amount of action and mystery mixed in. I liked learning more about Nash as well as his family's story and a lot more backstory about Lina. Lina is probably my favorite character out of both books.
The spicy parts are 👌👌. One of my fave things about Lucy Score. The spice level is perfection for me. Recommended if you like: forced proximity, spicy romance, small town, dual POV.
I'm excited for book three and finally figuring out the backstory!
