I really like the concept of learning about an artist's life through icons and at first, I thought I'd like to buy a whole collection of books like this.
It could just as well be a translation problem, since I read the french version, but...
From the very first page, it is clear that the author lacks a certain tact regarding her subject: some of the words used to talk about him, his hair,..., I had to read the sentence

"He ran barefoot with the goats"

, on 5 different occasion, without this adding any sort of context.
It ruined my experience.
