Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica
4.75
challenging dark reflective fast-paced
Loveable characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: N/A

Animals are no longer used as a food source, rather, meat is farmed from a domestic, comodified sub-class of humans. And that's just how the book starts, it somehow gets even darker.

Both mentally and physically disturbing, but in a way that prompts moral questions (points for vegetarian propoganda). Great for lovers of horror who can live without magic/supernatural creatures
