Soul Series: Nora's Complete Story by Cindy Pike

challenging emotional hopeful inspiring slow-paced

4.75

Reading this book is like a sooting balm on my tired heart. It's amazing! Although this is slow-paced, the characters' relationship, interactions, and dynamics kept me hooked and interested. There is a plot, however minimal it is, but the story is more character-driven. Considering that this is about finding self-love and recovering from abuse, I think it's fitting. The characters are also fully fleshed out and had strong developments throughout the book.

If you're into:
  • Damsel in distress (but not in an annoying way, I swear)
  • Caring and attentive MMCs
  • Recovery story from abuse
  • Laidback pacing
  • Emotional scenes that will break then stitch your heart back again

Then this is definitely for you! I won't say that this is fast-burn, since the spicy scenes won't start until book 3, but the MMCs were already into the FMC right from the start. Check the TWs, this contains flash-backs and on-page violence and SA. There were some confusing sentences, grammatical and typographical errors on book 3 as well.

Anyway, overall, this is highly recommended!
