I loved it so damn much, omg !!!
Everything is just so good :
- characters and character development. Usually I’m the kind of person whose eyes blur in secondary characters but I loved everyone, including the assh*les
- Atmosphere and worldbuilding : so so good, complex and I soured by hard cultural, religious and cultural facts rather than vague orientalism
- Plot : enthralling, has the perfect balance of being driven by characters’ actions BUT still action-packed and has emotional stakes in every scene.
- Writing : excellent, conveys amazing sense of place without being heavy
Also my heart has been stomped on repeatedly and this book might be the best fantasy regarding *actual* morally grey characters and actions.
Loved loved loved it, instant fave
