I enjoyed this title. It's the 2nd in the series, but you don't need to have read the first one in order to enjoy this...in fact, I ended up putting the 1st one down somewhere in the middle of it and not picking it back up again. So, if you are just starting the series, or didn't really love the first one, you can still enjoy this one.

Rafe and Carmen are neighbors, and they are attracted to one another...and both think that all they are looking for is a fling. But, what they don't know is that this relationship is going to be more than they are expecting. Their families, friends and coworkers figure it out a lot faster than they do.

I enjoyed a lot about this book. I loved that the characters were allowed to be who they are, and that both of them being Hispanic was a part of who they are, but it didn't feel like it was tossed into the book in order for the author to have "diversity" in her book...rather, it seemed like a story about 2 people.

I also loved that their careers were part of who they were and that it seemed like both of them actually had the jobs. Carmen is a dedicated nurse, and Rafe is a firefighter, and both of them are partly defined by these jobs as well as by the things that have happened to them in their lives.

I enjoyed and recommend this title, both for the characters and the storyline.
