Okay I did love this book, so I feel like a 3 star rating is harsh, because it’s literally 7am and I haven’t slept because I couldn’t put it down. It does the fake dating trope so well, much better than a couple other I’ve read, and touches on some important/serious topics.

But, I did start to get very frustrated with how oblivious/self-deprecating the main character was! I know to some extent that’s necessary in the fake dating trope because you have the question of unrequited love etc., but the frustration of Olive being quite so oblivious and harsh towards herself had me slamming the book closed sometimes!! 😂

I know this might be a personal grievance towards the character and therefore maybe I shouldn’t take it put on the whole book (because I really did love it) but the anger at all the self hating did take some enjoyment out of reading it.

Would absolutely recommend though, especially if you’re looking for something to get you out of a slump or just something a bit more light, romantic, and fun for the start of the year 😊
