The Identicals
by Elin Hilderbrand
I'm not sure I would like Elin Hilderbrand as much as I do, if I were reading her in print. But I really enjoy her novels as drive-around listening. They're colorful, 100% plot-driven (while incorporating uniquely drawn characters), and their settings are part of the narrative line. Plus-- Hilderbrand is snarky, but not too snarky.
This one was not my favorite (the Winter Street Inn series takes that award), and there were some really?? really?? moments, mostly centered on people mistaking one identical twin for the other. But the book was great fun, combining Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard locations, lore and food for a fun story.
Four stars.
