Saving Fable by Scott Reintgen

5.0

Indira Story dream's of becoming a hero in an upcoming story. But after a failed audition she land's in Protagonist Preparatory's side-character track. Throughout the story she does her best to earn her way to becoming a protagonist, all while uncovering a dark scheme threatening the land of Fable.

Saving Fable was one of the best stories I've read so far this year. Clever and fun, there's so many lovely details and references to other famous stories that made me immediately want to read it again from the beginning. While I recommend this for people who love The School of Good and Evil or The Land of Stories, I also think any teacher or book lover would fall in love with this story as well.

More than anything Saving Fable is a love letter to books, their characters and the people who create them. I can't wait to read the next one.
