Overall, this is a very sweet story with a lovely portrayal of a plus-sized lead. I liked the depiction of polyamory. I wasn't stoked by Elliot's lies to trick Grace into a poly relationship, but the book does a great job of pointing out that was shitty behavior (and honestly this is an escapist romance so it's eventually forgiven in a happy "ends justify the means" kind of way. While this is definitely a steamier book, I do think that the spice and the plot were well balanced. The plot moved the romance forward at a reasonable pace but it never felt distracting or overshadowing all the feelings everyone was having.
Moderate: Stalking
The antagonist of the book is an unhinged stalker who escalates to vandalism and then violence, but it's not the main focus of the story per se (mostly an excuse to get Grace to move in with the gargoyles and an excuse for Alasdair to be protective and self-sacrificing).
Other content warnings: breeding, knots, size difference, lying, and deception within an open relationship.
