This graphic novel is a beautiful story of grief and surf. It is partly autobiographic and partly historic with surf being the connecting point. How does surf made everything better. The story isn't continuous, it goes back and forth in time differentiating the old and the new through colors (blue and brown). The illustrations are breathtaking and the words extremely touching, full of love and gratitude.
