Gotta say that I really liked this, at first I did get the 5-star feelings but they soon vanished:

- Alex really wasn’t my favorite MMC, he seemed boring and I didn’t get the attraction Poppy felt to him at all
- The way there must‘ve happened something bad between them, they then don’t speak to each other for two years and then proceed to randomly go on a vacation together again? Weird
- I didn’t get the romantic tension and feelings between them at aaaall, they really just seemed like great friends to me but I couldn’t see them being much more
- I expected (after reading the premise) that this was gonna be a story about two best friends getting closer and closer on a vacation and it would be romantic and funny but this felt chaotic at times and was not what I expected, I felt like they didn’t get close at all until like the last 100 pages
- WTH DID THEY KEEP ON GOING AND GOING ABOUT THIS SARAH TORVAL?!?! Made me mad as hell 😭 I wanted to read about Alex and Poppy!!

Okay, I‘m done ranting, let’s get to the great stuff about this book:

<3 Emily Henry has to be one of the best if not THE best romance author when it comes to writing banter and just funny scenes in general, I found myself laughing out loud so much and this book just generally put more into a great mental space because it felt lighthearted and happy most of the time
<3 I just couldn’t stop reading? I couldn’t put this down at all
<3 I liked Poppy as a FMC, she felt sincere and likeable and was GENUINELY funny and relatable
<3 The summery feelings did really get across and I wanted to go to the beach so bad lol
<3 last but not least, their friendship seemed unbelievably real and wholehearted. They would do anything for each other and they know each other so well which I loved!
