I feel like this is a a pretty contradictory book. Things were over explained at some points and under explained at others. When I started this book I was honestly really confused. It took a while for me to get into this book. It seemed like I was given too much detail about structural things, but what was happening in the plot is completely in the dark. Unimportant things were clear while valuable things were not.
Despite the confusion I had, it was also somehow predictable. For a book that prides itself on being mysterious, the characters weren’t hard to read. I knew who was bad pretty early on. I don’t know how a book can posesa both of these characteristics at once, but this book did.
This very much felt like a book that you want to have a conversation about, but not exactly in a good way. It was just so strange, so it’s hard for me to summarize my feelings about this book. I feel like if I were to read this book again, I would still finish the book and wonder what I just read.
