Žižek's Jokes: Did You Hear the One about Hegel and Negation? by Slavoj Žižek

1.0

Zizek was recommended to me and I thought that this might be an easy introduction to his work. How disappointing. The jokes as presented are a series of disjointed anecdotes completely removed from all context.

The jokes, as they are, are that much more painful when Zizek deconstructs them. I haven't seen such gratuitous auto-fellation since Eco's Baudolino or The Island of the Day Before. I would not recommend this book to anyone I would like to keep as a friend.
