At the halfway point of this book, I was as frustrated as everyone. Almost did not finish because I didn’t want to pick it up.
I thought it was so obvious what happened and Pip could easily call the police and show all the evidence that she was kidnapped, plus tell the story in a way that it sounded like self defense. Or in the first place she could just hit him hard enough just to make him unconscious and restrain him before calling the police. OR try not to be alone outside much, was this too hard knowing someone was out to get you? And I screamed “JASON” when I read the unsent mail how could the Pip we know not put this all together. Overall I felt like there were MANY ways around it, but this hard and ridiculous way was forced for the sake of a more dramatic story.
As angry as I was, I still continued after taking a few days off and I’m surprised to say this book managed to end in a way that satisfied me and even had become the one I rated the highest in the series just because it made me feel a lot of things and besides everything I loved our two main characters very deeply.
