Dark Places by Gillian Flynn

3.0

I can definitely see the connections and similarities to recognize the same author who wrote Gone Girl. That said, this is definitely not as good, and not as tightly plotted. I liked the alternating narratives, and the fact that you really can't trust anyone's perspective. But there was just too much Bad Stuff that happened to this family in a single day, and by the end, I had gone past my suspension of disbelief. Otherwise, very compellingly readable, and I couldn't put it down.
