“There’s just this for consolation: an hour here or there when our lives seem, against all odds and expectations, to burst open and give us everything we’ve ever imagined, though everyone but children (and perhaps even they) knows these hours will inevitably be followed by others, far darker and more difficult.”
uhhh three depressed lesbians what more could i ask for! i love the movie adaptation of this book so much (even though its been a hot minute since ive watched it) and i loved getting more insight into the three main characters. it’s so interesting how all of their stories connect together in a way that doesn’t feel forced at all. it was also an interesting take on depression and how we live with it every day and how it affects everyone differently. anyways very beautiful story. let’s go lesbians!!!!
