I highly recommend everyone to check the trigger warnings first before picking it up cause I was struggling big time in the first few chapters that contain a lot of topics that I am sensitive with. However, once I passed that "scene", I couldn't put it down. I'm not saying that the rest of the book wasn't a hard read... but the way Shafak made this book intimate yet universal at the same time, PERFECTION! I don't think I will ever be able to reread this though. One time reading this book is more than enough, so if you're thinking about picking it up, savour it~
