The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout

5.0

My jaw is just hanging open!! Longer review coming when my mind isn’t spinning. So good! What’s with all the haters?!

Okay first. I love the connection to ASITE! All these little WTF pieces that didn’t make sense finally came together as a piece to the puzzled the lore up. I won’t say too
Much more about it but you absolutely have to read a shadow in the ember before you read this book.

While I am sad that Casteel had to go through the pain and suffering of being captured again by the Blood queen. I am happy that Poppy was given the chance to grow on her own. I feel like she has been sheltered and told what to believe all throughout her childhood and adolescence and went straight into Casteel‘s arms and she needed this time to grow into her own and form her own opinions without leaning too much on a stronger male character.

The joining! I’m for it ,end of story. We all knew the Cas was a freak in the sheets he admitted it to Poppy when they were at the beach. How could we not expect for this to happen. I also liked how it was written it wasn’t explicit as to who put what where but you get the general idea.

I felt like this book was really heavy on the lore of the empire and everything I had taken place with the Primals and God. I really enjoyed all the connections and making those connections for myself and all those a-ha moments where things are finally starting to make sense. I was not attached to an outcome of what the story was supposed to be like from blood and ash is Jess was along for the ride and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
