The way that this book is written makes me want to move to a little island in the middle of the sea with no sand, just rocky shores that the waves crash against. Then I will reread this book in the way that I feel it was intended to be read. Yes, I already live on a small island, yes I still feel like I did this book some sort of injustice by not reading it late at night in the middle of summer on a rocky beach. 

This book is everything that I want in a Little Mermaid esc retelling, which is what it was recommended to me as, but with some darker themes that I absolutely loved. I felt as if I was on the edge of my seat through the entire thing, wanting desperately to know what was going to happen next.
