emotional hopeful informative inspiring sad medium-paced

This memoir was a gripping read. The author's account of the psychological toll of being an undocumented child in New York in the 1990s is what will stick with me, beyond even the physical manifestations of poverty and hardship she recounts. A fascinated insight into the realities of immigration.
