A Princess for Christmas by Jenny Holiday

5.0

Let me start off by saying that I am absolutely the target audience for this book. I LOVE CHRISTMAS. Even better, I love made for tv holiday movies, specifically Hallmark ones. This book was very much the love child of a Hallmark movie and an HBO special. It was delightfully full of Christmas cheer, fully equipped with a real life princess and a grumpy hero, and it was also deliciously sexy. Basically, this book had all of the ingredients for the perfect romantic escape. I love all of the characters in this book. They were all so well developed for what I expected from a holiday novel. You get to learn things about everyone, including the side characters. This was done in a cohesive way that added to the story. While I loved everyone, I absolutely loved Leo and Marie together. They were far better together than apart. They were both so hard on themselves that it really took the other person to help them realize their own potential. Another character that I grew to love was Mr. Benz. He strongly reminds me to Anders from Dynasty :) In all honesty, there's not anything that I disliked about this book. Around this time of year, I am all about Christmas cheer. This paired a cheesy holiday, Hallmark-like book and added in some sexy parts. What's not to like? I'd be willing to say that this is one of my favorite holiday books EVER. I rarely read book previews, but I had to get a taste of Max and Dani. Let's just say I think their story is going to be even more interesting than this one!
