I wanted to read this book as I've never read any of Sarah J. Maas’s work and I was interested to see what the hype was all about. I was kindly gifted this series and Throne of Glass, I've enjoyed the series so far and I loved A Court of Wings and Ruin - I know people say that A Court of Silver Flames is better, but this little book was so sweet and cute.
This book has multiple points of views including Feyre, Rhysand, Cassian and Morrigan. They are all really busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But the Winter Solstice is finally approaching and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve. Yet even the festive atmosphere can’t keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scares that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.
This book does nothing to the plot, if you are looking for an extremely plotful storyline don’t look here. It was a little book with everyone getting used to living in the Winter Court. And shopping and the romance and tension brewing between the gang and the town that Rhys and Feyre look after. I liked seeing the additional chapters from Cassian and Mor and would have loved for more additional POVs from the other guys including Lucien settling in his new house. Nesta is clearly the main character in this book and would have loved for her to have some additional POVs and know how she was feeling.
You definitely know how they are all going to live happily ever after and if it wasn’t for the additional POV, it would be 3 stars.
